He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Rowe and Mildred Woody Rowe; his wife Mae Bell Walters Rowe; and his sister Virginia "Jenny" A. Rowe. He is survived by: his siblings, Mary A. Thrower, Larry "Pete" B. Rowe (Regina), Robert "Bobby" M. Rowe (Sylvia), Louise "LuLu" M. Turner (Joseph) and Toni L. Burton (Charles); his children, Valerie Daniels (David), Alfred K. "Kenny" Rowe, Shamese V. Rowe, Shelly L. Rowe, Lisa V. Brown and Jamie R. Rowe; and his grandchildren, Brittany Daniels, La'Teasha Cunningham, Kenneth J. Rowe, Brice Hayes, LaShéri Dyke, Aryanna Carter, Kearston Brown, Kelsi Brown, Déja Benford and Saniya Rowe-Heyward. He is also survived by six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
