It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Ann Churma of Apollo, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Stawiany and Josephine Stawiany (Figus); her husband Dr. Stephen G. Churma; her son Dr. Stephen W. Churma; her grandson Kody J. Churma; her siblings, Irene Giran (Andy), William Stawiany (Roseann) and Donald Thielman; and her siblings-in-law, John Churma (Audrey), Joseph Churma (Sheila), Daniel Maddigan (Maryann) and Agnes Evan.

She is survived by: her sons, Dr. William C. Churma and Duane Churma (Laurie); and her grandchildren, Christopher, William, Brooke, Shane and Montana. She is also survived by many other nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
