He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bielata and Stella Bielata (Gruszczynski). He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Bielata (Dzanaj); his sons, Joseph Bielata (Nancy) of Lower Burrell, Timothy Bielata (Ramie) of West Leechburg and William T. Bielata of North Apollo; his grandchildren, William Johnson (Crystal Huber) of Blairsville, Timothy Bielata (Amanda) of Lower Burrell, Nathan Bielata (Kate) of Export, Joey Bielata of Lower Burrell, Jamie Gregory (Kyle) of Lower Burrell and Alyssa Schafer (Calvin) of New Kensington; and his siblings, Rose Marie Bielata of Lower Burrell, Barbara Martin (Ed) of Chicago and Richard Bielata of Allegheny Township. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Leechburg (300 Market St, Leechburg, PA 15656). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in J.B.'s name to the Victorian Vandergrift Museum and Historical Society at P.O. Box 86, Vandergrift, PA 15690.
