Julia Chierici Obituary
We announce the death of Julia Chierici of Apollo, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 93. Julia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Canella and Genevie Canella (Marzetti); her husband Joseph Chierici Sr.; her sons, James Chierici, John Chierici and Joseph G. Chierici Jr.; her grandson Eric Chierici; and her siblings, Mary Trinclisti, Lena Boucher, Flora Stone, Margie Blanciak, Theresa Canella, Louise Virostek, Joseph Canella and Geno Mancini.
She is survived by: her son Jeffry Chierici of Apollo; her grandchildren, Tara Fraser (Ricky) and Fanci Chierici; and her great grandchildren, Macie Chierici, Landon Fraser and Isla Fraser.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. (100 Owens View Ave, Apollo, PA 15613). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Roman Catholic Church (109 Owens View Ave, Apollo, PA 15613).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julia's memory to the St. James Church at the above-listed address or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. James Church.
