He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schemel and Lucy McAuvic Schemel; and his brothers, John, Reverend Francis X and S. J..
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Rose Coggins Schemel of Archbald; and his cousins, Mary, Robert Zelno of Archbald and William Clark of Carbondale.
