We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2025, Joan Helena Walker (Ardmore, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joan farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Joan's name to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum of the Chicago Academy of Sciences (https://naturemuseum.org) and to Douglass Residential College at Rutgers University.
