He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Cress and Marie Cress (Winters); his grandmother Rose Winters; and his siblings, James Cress, Joseph Cress, Elizabeth Cress and Roseann Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Marie D. Cress (Buhl); his sons, Charles Cress Jr. (Melissa) and Greg Cress (Teri); his grandchildren, Kirstyn, Rylee, Garrett, Alexander and Kambel; and his sister Marie McCabe. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc. (403 W Main St, Girardville, PA 17935).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cress Family at 540 E. Centre Street, Ashland, PA 17921 to help offset funeral expenses.
