He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norbert Wivell, Sr. and Fannie Agnes Wivell (Bollinger); his wives, Sharon F. Wivell (Kiner) and Lisa A. Wivell; and his siblings, Glenn Wivell, Mary Haines, Emma Stambaugh, Frances Wivell, Lucille Roland and Vincent Wivell.

He is survived by: his son Francis Wivell, Jr.; his grandsons, Brandon M. Luckenbaugh and Kyle S. Luckenbaugh; his great grandchildren, Bradyn Luckenbaugh, Tanner Luckenbaugh, Kody Luckenbaugh and Destiny Lawver; and his brothers, James H. Wivell, Morris Stanley and Allen Joseph.
