She was predeceased by : her husband Ivan "Wayne" Heller; her parents, Albert C. Kane and Florence M. Kane (Spidel); and her siblings, Albert Kane, John Kane, Mary Grace Williams, Delores Cooper, Vivian Walter, Elizabeth Garner, James Kane, Florence Baker and Rosalie Kane.
She is survived by : her daughter Florence Heuer (Heller); her son-in-law Lee A. Heuer, Jr. of Aspers; her grandchildren, Andrew Heuer (Carissa) of New Oxford and Emilee Heuer (Jonathan Houston) of Hanover; her great grandchildren, Niveya and Penelope Heuer of New Oxford; her siblings, Shirley MacKenzie (Keith), Ellen Doll and Michael Kane (Pat); and her sister-in-law Esther Kane. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in laws.
Nellie worked on Naval bases in Groton, CT., Norfolk, VA., and the Naval Supply Base in Mechanicsburg, where she received a commendation in honor of her outstanding contribution to Navy efficiency.
