He is survived by: his child Ashley Metz (David); his grandsons, David, Tyler and Lucas Metz; and his siblings, Chris Schaffer (Terry), Pat Schaffer (Mary Lou), Alex Schaffer (Meg) and Greg Schaffer (Cassi). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
