He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Schaffer and Audrey Schaffer; his wife Kathryn "Kitty" Schaffer; and his siblings, Mark, Joe and Chuckie Schaffer.
He is survived by: his child Ashley Metz (David); his grandsons, David, Tyler and Lucas Metz; and his siblings, Chris Schaffer (Terry), Pat Schaffer (Mary Lou), Alex Schaffer (Meg) and Greg Schaffer (Cassi). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home (100 Center Ave, Aspinwall, PA 15215). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
