JOHN HOFBAUER wrote a sympathy message

“I just learned of Jim's passing and would like to offer my thoughts and prayers to his family. I am so sorry to hear of this. I worked with Jim at the Philadelphia Navy Yard from 1973 until I left the toolmakers shop in 1989. I still saw him frequently while I worked in engineering. Jim was a great fellow employee, friend, and supervisor. We played softball together, went fishing together, and spent quite a few enjoyable lunches together at the Navy yards parade ground.
