He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Salvato and Evelyn Irons Salvato; and his stepdaughter Laura Weghorst. He is survived by: his wife Susan P. Beard Salvato; his sons, Ron and Jason; his stepchildren, John, Sandra and Robert; his sister Patricia Shinn (Harry); and his niece Sandra Hitchens (Larry).
