He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Lewis Blakney; his son David Blakney; his parents, Richard Blakney and Matilda Blakney; and his sister Mary.
He is survived by: his sister Natalia; his children, Jimmy Blakney, Lisa Northover (Leon) and Brenda Edwards (Sean); his grandchildren, Felicity of Cheyenne, L. J., Aubree and Zander; his goddaughter Teresa Shallcross; and also, Charles, Brian, Amanda and Michael.
