She was predeceased by: her parents, William L Stoltzfus and Sadie A. Swartzentruber Stoltzfus; and her siblings, Mabel, Hiram, Anna and Esther Stoltzfus.

She is survived by: her husband Timothy K. Kauffman; and her children, Linda S. Yost of Christiana, David T. (Rita Colley Kauffman) of Atglen, J. Kenneth Kauffman of Atglen, Christine M. (Austin "Dutch" Ham) of Quarryville and Sharon R. (Charles "Chuck" Simmons) of Marietta.

Contributions honoring Ruth may be made to the Denlingers in Israel.
