It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Mayo Sr. of Athens, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mayo and Lulu Mayo (Strope); and his former wife Marjorie Mayo (Covey). He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Mayo (Collins); his children, Earl, Jr. Mayo (Maureen), James "Doc" Mayo (Cindy), Terrie Spencer (Bruce), Steven Mayo, David Mayo (Mary) and Jody "Kevin" Mayo (Christine); and his stepchildren, Terri Krauss and Scott Leach. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (510 Ann St, Towanda, PA 18848). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bradford County Memorial Park (24052 US-6, Towanda, PA 18848).
