She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Leigh Powell and Eva Mae Powell; her brothers, Leon Powell and Grover Powell; and her daughter Cynthia McCarthy.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Souto; her children, Marc Souto, Liz Ross (Carl), Brian McCarthy (Cindi), Greg Souto (Sharon), Meloni Janzen (Scott) and Mona Roccia (Anthony); her grandchildren, Alexis Hayes-Leak (Taylor), Hannah Forsberg (Ryan), Joshua Souto, Nicole Stroup (Matt), Shane McCarthy (Kristen), Paige McCarthy, Connor Janzen, Anthony Roccia, Jr. and Sophia Roccia; and her sister Anna Mae Bateman. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
