He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy VanDerpoel (Sharp) and Ranselar VanDerpoel; his brothers, Ranselar "Junior", Lloyd, Leroy, Randy and Mickey VanDerpoel; and his daughter Christy Lynn VanDerpoel.
He is survived by: his wife Susanna "Sue" VanDerpoel; his children, Tammy VanDerpoel, Jason VanDerpoel (Cory), Aaron VanDerpoel (Suzi) and Kyle VanDerpoel (Marley McCarty); his stepson Brian Lalor (Sarah); his pet Milo James; his siblings, Patricia Barton, Betty Smith (Peter), Esther Folk (Kerry) and Rick VanDerpoel (Vickie); his grandchildren, Raven (Jake), Rachelle (Codie), Raegan, Abigael, Logan, Xavier, Gabriel, Amya, Donavin, Taylor, Rylee, Makenzie, Karson and Arthur; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Asher, Aspen, Ava L., Violet and Jasper.
