He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Fero and Mary Fero (Defalca); his stepfather Edward Losiewicz; and his brother Gerald Losiewicz. He is survived by: his children, Paul Fero (Jennifer) of St, Cari Fero of Ridgway and Danielle Dulski (Marshall) of Mt. Jewet; and his siblings, Sam Fero, Edward Losiewicz, Patricia Cordova, Margaret Evans and Toni Seifert (Gene). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
