Douglas leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Douglas’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Douglas will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delwin Gottschall and Martha P. Gottschall (Hummer); and his former wife Kathy Gottschall (Hughes). He is survived by: his wife Marlene (Bliss); his children, Matthew D. Gottschall (Shannon) of Jersey Shore and Jennifer E. Gottschall of Jersey Shore; his grandchildren, Isabella and Avery Gottschall; and his sister KimAnn Allen (Butch) of Lock Haven.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Grace Fellowship (19 W Ridge St, Avis, PA 17721). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
