He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Smith and Edna M. Smith; his siblings, Harold Smith and Shirley Cochenour; and his brother-in-law Bill Cochenour.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his sister Edna "Bunnie" Shema; and his stepchildren, Sandy Kenney (Pete), Mark Schneider (Jackie) and Eric Schneider (Mary). He is also survived by grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
