He is survived by: his mother Eileen DeFrancisco; his sons, Robert Colangelo Jr. (Megan), Sean Colangelo (Crystal) and Seth Colangelo (Krystle); his brothers, Joseph "Mike" Colangelo, Bryan Colangelo and Gary Seevers; his grandchildren, Cadence, Aaron, Aaliyah, Nora, Timothy and Locke; and his friend Sherryl Mooney.
