We bid farewell to John Utz (Bakerstown, Pennsylvania), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 26, 2025 at the age of 95. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Raymond and Portia Anderson Utz; his son J. Robert Utz; his daughter-in-law Bridget Utz; his siblings, Charles Utz, Clara Hetrick and Catherine Gray; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Dietrich and Ed Dietrich.
He is survived by: his wife G. Jeanne Humes Utz; his children, Connie Towers (Jim) of Lancaster, PA and Howard Utz (Connie) of Irwin; his daughter-in-law Connie Saul Utz of Mars; his grandchildren, Marcia Towers, Michael Towers (Kelly), David Towers (Emily), Dena Fantini (Jason), Dan Utz, Debi Varner (Tom), Shawn Utz (Christina), Corey Utz (Emily), Brian Utz (Courtney) and Julie MacKenzie (Gray); and his brother-in-law Stanley Gray. He is also survived by 28 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosanna Industries, South Butler Community Meals on Wheels, First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown of the Richland Youth Foundation.
