She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig Renn and Julianna Renn (Frederick); her husband F. Harry Childs; her sons, Harry and Gregory Childs; her children-in-law, Michael Pflug and Janet Duff Childs; and her siblings, Ewalt, Don, Edward, Freda, Helen, Betty, Dorothy, Martha, Alice and Ruth.

She is survived by: her daughter Hedy Pflug; her grandchildren, Heather Stief (Regis), Meghan Naylor (Ken), Samuel Childs (Kara) and Julie Ann Pflug; and her great grandchildren, Henry Stief, Adelyn Stief and Marina Naylor. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hattie's name may be made to Advanced Hospice, or Good Samaritan Hospice.
