He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Martell and Mary Martell; his wife Carol Martell; his siblings, Joseph Martell (Thelma), Richard Martell (Marion) and Mary June Martell (Adams); his brother-in-law Kenneth Adams; and his nephew Rick Martell.

He is survived by: his nephew Jeff Adams (Stacey); and his nieces, Denise Turyan (Rick) and Debra Langford (Larry).
