He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Smith and Helen Louise Smith (Frona); his wife Virginia Linger; and his sister Helen Gregory. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Linger (Janet) and William Linger Jr. (Janet). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. (833 Kennedy Dr, Ambridge, PA 15003). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
