He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Staats and Rachel Staats (Knopp); and his sisters, Zelma Staats, Eleanor Webb (Harley) and Arlene Preston.
He is survived by: his son Gary Staats (Casey); his grandchildren, Krista Borgardt (Joshua), Ashley Krepps (Eric), Easton Staats, Amanda Daquilla (George), Leighanne Nusser, Lauren Csoman and Heather Rohm; his great grandchildren, Travis Krepps (Kahli), Austin Krepps, Alana Krepps, Cheyenne Csoman, Blake Nusser, Phoenix Riley, Soren Riley and Jack Riley; and his siblings-in-law, Earl Preston and Barbara Sitler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
