We bid farewell to Joseph L. McCloskey Sr. (Beaverdale, Pennsylvania), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 19, 2026 at the age of 91. Joseph touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis McCloskey and Bernice McCloskey (Smith); and his brother Louis, Jr. (Anna Rose Mastalski). He is survived by: his wife Marina Gruendl; his children, Deborah Johnson (Gary) of Hollidaysburg, PA, Theresa Stigers (Terry) of Beaverdale, PA, Joseph McCloskey, Jr. of Germantown, MD and James McCloskey (Jodi) of Johnstown, PA.; and his siblings, Josephine Nigborowicz (Paul), Nancy Kormanik (Alfred), Mildred Papcun (George), Marion Haman (David), Raymond McCloskey (Claudia) and Paul McCloskey (Cynthia). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Beaverdale Volunteer Fire Department.
