With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Ruth Koontz of Bedford, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 19, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Henderson and Carrie Henderson (Smith); her husband Allen P. Koontz; her great grandchild Phillip Dahl; and her siblings, William, Jack, James Henderson and Louise Dermer.

She is survived by : her daughters, Connie McGill (Dennis) of Bedford and Linda Carey (James) of Trinity, FL; her grandchildren, Louis Dahl of Bedford and Stefanie Ritchey of Tarpon Springs, FL; her daughter Kari Howard (Victor) of Land; her stepgranddaughter Traci Weyant (John Whitmore) of Bedford; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Alexa of Bedford.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty's name to UPMC Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, PA 16601.
