He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Shoemaker and Pauline B. Shoemaker (Zembower); and his wife Ruby E. Shoemaker (Shirey). He is survived by: his sons, C. Rhett Shoemaker (Deborah) of Bedford, Max A. Shoemaker (Nancy) of Bedford and Brooks R. Shoemaker (Jennifer) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Travis James Shoemaker (Christine), Amanda Foor (Josh), Casey Shoemaker, Chad Shoemaker (Meggie), Mollie Turkovich (Robert III), Taylor Shoemaker, Nathan Shoemaker and Samantha Shoemaker; and his great grandchildren, Robert IV, Max, Van Turkovich, Archie, Arlo, Caleb, Colin Shoemaker and Hayes Foor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home Inc. (214 S Juliana St, Bedford, PA 15522). A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
