He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred Boyd and Mary Louise Hunter (Shipe); his brother George; his brother-in-law Donald Lewis; and his niece Mary Beth Lewis.

He is survived by : his wife Eileen Hunter (Donahoe); his sister Alice Lewis; his sister-in-law Cathy Hunter; his children, Corenna (Tom) and Chance; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Micah, Kamber, Mason and James.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 N. Centre Street, Cumberland, MD 21502 or to Seven Dolors Catholic Church, 2176 Beans Cove Road, Clearville, PA 15535.
