It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mahlon U. Dimond of Bedford, Pennsylvania, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahlon U. Dimond and Margaret P. Dimond (Stotler). He is survived by: his wife S. Jane Dimond (Shoemaker); his daughters, Katie S. Lakatosh (Chad) of Bellefonte and Marcie E. Elbin (Kyle) of Manheim; his grandchildren, Leah, Reese and Drew; his brother Rodney L. Dimond (Vickie) of Savanah, TN; and his sister-in-law Marci A. Muir of Huntingdon.
