He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Grimes Sr. and Edna Grimes (O'Shell); his wife Betty Jane Grimes (Chamberlain); his granddaughters, Susan and Christine; and his siblings, Simon Grimes Jr., Betty Snyder, Charlotte Brown and Nancy Pepple.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia "Cindy" Robinette (late James) of Bedford and Richard Grimes Jr. (Janet) of Bedford; his grandchildren, James Robinette (Tracy) of Bedford, Thomas Robinette (Melissa) of Bedford and Scott Robinette (Jamie) of New Enterprise; and his siblings, Janet Triplett of Martinsburg, Jamie Pittman of Everett, Beverly Diehl of Bedford, Bob Grimes of Clearville, Jim Grimes of Everett and Greg Grimes of Everett. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home Inc. (214 S Juliana St, Bedford, PA 15522). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
