He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Bix" Hershberger and Romaine Hershberger (Kegg); his wife Darlene Shoemaker Hershberger (Rice); his daughter Nancy Brendlinger (Darl); and his sister Florence Jaffee (Bernie).
He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Swanger (Jerry) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Amy Swanger, Joseph Cocklin, Kristen Charron and Janelle Stynchula; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Willow, Waylon, McKennah, Elijah, Anya and Delilah.
