He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bender and Myrtle Bender; his former wife Lana; and his brother John Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his brother Ronald (Joanne); his children, Laurie Demek, Mark Bender and Patricia Cease; his grandchildren, McKenna Gower (Wesley) and Noah Bender; and his great grandchild Gene Gower. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
