Jonathan Thomas Evans Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jonathan T. Evans of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 23, 2022 at the age of 36. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jonathan T. Evans to pay them a last tribute.

He was raised in the Marion Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Boy Scouts attaining the Eagle Scout rank. Jonathan was co-owner of Chef G’s with his lifelong friend, Mike Rygiel. In 2014, he participated in the Poker Tournament at the Regatta in Atlantic City where he won the championship.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Debbie Marie Glotfelty Matthias (Randy) of Belle Vernon and Duane Evans (Margie) of New Eagle; Hayley Canigiani of Fayette City; their children, Colby Canigiani, Casey Ashbaugh, Callie Ashbaugh, his sisters Dawn Evans (Josh) of Belle Vernon and Megan Evans of N. Charleroi; his half-sister Linda Evans of New Eagle; and his niece and nephews, Noah Harrold, Cameron Evans, Chloe Evans, and Cayden Evans.
