He was predeceased by: his mother Jean Packer Ripka Bickle; and his siblings, Gladys Meyer, Virginia Struble, James Ripka, Sr. and Leroy Bickle.
He is survived by: his father Robert Ripka; his wife Judy Ann Ripka (Bloom); his children, Michael Ripka (Kim) of Bellefonte and Jennifer Coslo (Jim) of Bellefonte; and his grandchildren, Olivia Walk, Nathan Ripka, Aaron Coslo and Emily Coslo.
