She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold C. Smith and Kathryn Rae Smith (Spinney); and her husband Philip H. Houser. She is survived by: her daughter Tamera "Tammy" Bixler (Brett) of Bellefonte; and her grandchildren, Brenna Packard (Brandon) of State College and Brooke Bixler (Nicholas Tower) of Baltimore.
