Mashell R Baney Obituary
Mashell R. Baney, 62, of Bellefonte, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, March 22, 2024. Born on September 30, 1961, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Sheldon Brown and Katherine (Confer) Brown of Milesburg.
Mashell was a 1979 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She worked in the housekeeping department at Penn State University, retired in 2022 after 25+ years of service.
Mashell enjoyed watching all the news channels, Judge Judy, and her daily soaps on TV. She was an excellent mom, doing the very best she could for her children, especially Steven. Even though she tried her best, she wasn't the best cook. The food was edible but that is about all. Her favorite pastime was playing with her grand Godson, Reign.
Mashell is survived by her mother, three children: Steven Payton of Mill Hall, Katie Stover and her husband, Shawn, of Milesburg, and Alicia Baney of Bellefonte; one God daughter, Ellissa Russell and her husband, Andrew, of Bellefonte, and one grand Godson, Reign. She is also survived by one brother, Gary Brown and his wife, Dolly, of Milesburg and one sister, Sherie Bartley and her husband, Doug, of Unionville.
