He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave E. Kanagy and Ida Kanagy (Glick); his wife Rita M. Kanagy; and his sisters, Martha Kanagy and DaVida Kanagy.

He is survived by: his children, Tamela Peachey (Nathan) of Belleville, Curtiss Kanagy (Robin) of Mifflintown, Robert Kanagy (Audrey) of Lancaster, PA and David Kanagy (Carrie) of Belleville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
