He was predeceased by: his parents, Alethia Dennis and Charlie Gayle. He is survived by: his significant other Margaret Sowell; his children, Derrick Russ (Yvonne) and Cynthia Hammond (Gregory); his grandchildren, Raynada Jackson, Natisher Booker (Henry), Monae Russ and Alexis Hammond; and his siblings, Mildred and Buford McDowell. He is also survived by Goddaughter; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home (2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
