He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Smith and Elizabeth Habermehl Smith; and his daughter Terri Horner. He is survived by: his wife Maria Garcia Smith; his children, Patty (David Westerfer), Betty Smith Durepos, Kay (Tim Long), Chico (Celeste Smith) and Peggy (Greg Cuneen); his son-in-law Kenny Horner; and his grandchildren, Zach Westerfer, Jason Horner, Kenneth Horner (Claire Fisher), Drew Durepos, Clare Durepos, Lucy Durepos, Kristen Long, Kelsey Long, Allie Long, Shawn Cuneen and Julie Cuneen.
