He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Smith (Wisniewski); his parents, Frances Smith and Dion; his children, James Jr. and Monique Smith; his stepchildren, Jill Salmon, Lili Belcastro (Ricky) and Blair Salmon (Jonathan); his siblings, William Smith (Pat), Edward Smith (Janice), Frances McCloskey (late Tony), Joseph Smith (Linda) and Diane Ptasznyk (Bob); his grandson Spencer; and his stepgrandchildren, Chase, Carly, Ava and Anthony. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
