“Paul and his wife Pat became friends and neighbors within days of moving to their home on Hessian Turn in Besalem, PA in the early 1970s. It was evident he was among a class of people who were not likely to come along often: a scholarly man who had been steeped in an academic and clerical life before falling in love with a strong minded woman who shared his faith and his desire to create family. We had lots of fun, became Republicans, ran for office, improvised and sometimes made a difference!”
