She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Philip and Mariamma Philip; her husband Joseph Zachariah Thekkumthalackal; and her daughter Rani Francis. She is survived by: her children, Bijou Zachariah (Kochumol), Suja Geevarghese (Geevarghese) and Ruby Thomas (Shaji); her siblings, Mariamma Thomas (late Thomas), Koshy Philip (Molly) and George Philip (Gigi); her grandchildren, Ansu (Jinto), Christopher, Ashly, Jaison (Ingrid), Teena (Stephen), Anvy (Leo), Rachel (Jerel) and Kevin (Helda); and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Andrew, Leah, Selah, Ezra and Theodosia.
Up until her last moments, she also prided herself in doing charity work, especially for less fortunate college students who needed education.
