He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Lewis; his daughters, Joanne St. Clair (Lewis) and Barbara Schwerdtmann (Lewis); his grandson Emil Schwerdtmann; and his siblings, Edward, Charles, Joseph Lewis, Eileen Cioffi and Marie Frank.

He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his daughter Candy (Dygert-Lewis); his grandsons, Ken St. Clair, Nicholas Dygert, Jimmy Dygert and Brandon Colvin; and his sister Rita Bayer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
