He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Anna; and his siblings, Dolores, Michael and Jimmy.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his son Billy Maier; his sister Maggie Rafter; his brothers-in-law, Kevin (Andrea) and Wayne Goodwin (Pat); and his pet Petey.
