It is with sadness that the passing of Casey Shonis of Benton, Pennsylvania is shared. Casey, born on May 10, 1965, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Casey will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Casey by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Casey is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Casey’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lynn Doyle; and her grandmother Gertrude Casey. She is survived by: her husband John; her sons, Jacamo Shonis (Anna Collett) and Lt. Connor Shonis (Olivia Cragle); her sister Lynnette Doyle; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Diddleboch; and her close friends, Marlene Shaffer and Beth Swigart.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stillwater Christian Church (39 McMichael St, Stillwater, PA 17878). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Casey requested all donations be made to her organization: Rescue Pets Serving Vets (rescuepetsservingvets.org).
