He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smider and Anna Smider (Chopey); his brothers, John and Michael Smider (late Nancy); and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Smider (Grenier).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smider (Tesner); his sons, Vaughn (Kim Thomas) and Scott (Amy); his grandchildren, Brevin, Tatiana, Nate, Kay and Evan; his sister-in-law Bernadette Smider (Gazda); his niece Denise Glumac (George); and his nephews, Brian (Terri), David "Sam" (Mary) and Mark Smider (Debbie Hill).
A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 2:15 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
