He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Custer and Melda Custer (Pritts); his wife Betty Gene "Etta" Marker; his grandchildren, Trisha, Terry and Kristen Custer; his great grandchild Lucas Hayman; his daughter-in-law Pamela McQuade-Custer; and his siblings, Roy, Robert, Paul Custer, Fern Christner and Betty Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Allen, Pamela Vaughan, Pam Brant, Greg and Tracey Bowlby Custer; his grandchildren, Shellby Custer, Holly Hayman (Jonathan), Colby Custer (Amanda), Jason Custer (Ginger), Carrie Custer (Craig Enos), Courtney Custer, Candice DiPasquale (Tony), Jared Custer (Abby) and Kathy Blough; his great grandchildren, Trevor Kerschensteiner (Mariah Beeman), Sami Jo Hayman, Kaitlin, Colton, Adler, Amelia, Josiah Custer, Christopher and Alexander DiPasquale; his great great grandchild Jasper Kershensteiner; and his siblings, Donald, Lynn Custer and Alma Kurtz.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deaner Funeral Home (705 Main St, Berlin, PA 15530). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
