He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Drenning; his stepfather John Drenning; and his stepbrother John Drenning Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Phillippi (Jeff) and Chuck Weimer (Beth); his brother Barry Dietz (Jackie Hinkle); his half-brother Max Drenning (Joy); and his sister-in-law Jill Drenning. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
